Here's my story. In 1996 I completed my Honor Bachelor of Commerce (Business Degree) from Mc Master University and, after applying to "Teacher's college", was accepted into U of T where I completed my one year Bachelor of Education. The following year I went straight into teaching (Grade 6 Math) but decided after my first year that I was missing something. I continued teaching for three more years while simultaneously taking my real estate courses. At the end of the 2001 school year I left teaching permanently to pursue real estate. Though I enjoyed teaching, I never looked back. Real Estate was the challenge I needed.
The transition to real estate was extremely smooth and fortunate. My wife had been working as a law clerk for a real estate law firm for over a decade and had a wealth of knowledge to impart. Secondly, I immediately began working as a Buyer's Agent for Frank Leo (yes, Frank Leo "The Lion"). Due to Frank's incredible success this allowed me an exposure to real estate that few ever receive. In my first year I garnered the Rookie of the Year Award followed by the President's Club Award, Executive Club Award, 100% Club and the Re/Max Achievement Award. After 5 years I continue to work with Frank and thank him for his continued support and advice. Frank and I have collaborated on literally hundreds of deals over the years.
